Today one of my best and oldest friends celebrates her birthday (I won't betray any numbers ;-))).
I have been thinking about her a lot for the last couple of days, while I created the below layout... We have known each other since we were 13-14, have been pen friends for many years (we were living in different cities), but didn't meet again until she visited me in Germany in 1996 (I was 29!) and afterwards I visited her every time I went to Romania.
The picture below was taken in the late summer of 2007 in Vienna, where we were able to meet because she was visiting one of her friends and I happened to be on holiday with my husband in Zell am See, which is not far from Vienna.
So today is her birthday... I wish she were here next to me today, so that I can hold her in my arms and tell her how much I care for her, how much her friendship means to me and what a beautiful and special person she is!
Happy birthday, dearest Rodica! I hope you know what you mean to me and I hope we will be friends forever!
