Being a grandma

Everybody who knows me will know who Mutti is. For everyone else, a short explanation: she is my ex-husband's mother, I still live in her house with my second husband and our son David and we have a pretty special relationship: despite some minor problems, she is the best grandmother surrogate that a child can have and I am very glad to see how happy David always is around her. I am very sure neither my mother nor Bogdan's would have been such a good grandma for our son.

It will be Mutti's birthday on October 2 and I scrapped a little something for her which I intend to give her in a couple of nice frames.

Playing with PS brushes = New Wordart Freebie

Today David slept over 2 hours after lunch, so I had plenty of time ;-) and played a little bit with the PS brushes that I discovered a few days ago. It is so much fun and there is no limit to one's creativity. OK, having boasted enough, here are my very first handwritten and embellished words. Touched by "Australia"

Today I saw the movie "Australia" (with Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman). Do not miss it if you get the chance! I was deeply moved by the destiny of Nullah, a child of the "stolen generations", it made me cry from the bottom of my heart.

I then decided to create some wordarts based on a few beautiful key phrases in the movie. I hope you will like them and remember them when you watch the movie.

My husband - the golden angel

I enjoyed the challenge on the German forum so much, that I decided to create another layout with 3D shadows and this time I chose my favourite photo of my husband as a little boy. Wasn't he absolutely adorable with his angelic blond curls?
